What I'm up to now
Denis MilanovićWelcome to my /now page. Here's what's going on with me:
- Today is the 20th anniversary of That Night, when Australia finally qualified to WC06 after a 32-year absence. I only experienced a small subset of the WCQ trauma (2001 as a fully fledged fan, 1997 was one of my first football memories), but the euphoria of being there on the day was unforgettable. I doubt a sporting event will ever match it for me, and I watch at least some of that doco every year.
- Still struggling with post-Japan blues. We've been back for a week now, after a three-week holiday. As first-time tourists, we followed a well-worn path (Tokyo→Kyoto→Osaka→Hiroshima), but it was an incredible experience and I would love to go back. I've been day-dreaming about a return all week.
- Grinding my way through Pokémon Legends ZA to have it out of the way before the new Metroid comes out.
- Playing with an app idea for stream-of-consciousness journaling. I've previously talked about my failure to make journaling stick, but I think I'm onto something cool ATM. If it works as well as I hope, I'll post about it.
